- Sorry Micheal, but thats simply not true. "PC" drives do have a ready line
- and the software does use it. Where else do you think the "Not ready
- reading drive a: BS comes from? They just don't bother scanning the drive
- status till its needed for something or other.

- Its on pin 34. Where the "amiga" drives are different is some sort of
- signalling the drive does in response to a toggle of the motor on line
- which the drive answers on the ready line, the returned pattern of bits
- tells the amiga the drives density ability. There is a discussion on this
- in the hardware books alltho I can't at the moment quote chapter and verse
- numbers. Its also in the rkm's.
